Your Inspector - David Bodycomb, Architect
David is an Adelaide architect with local knowledge and 'on-the-tools' experience
as a designer, builder, renovator and restorer. He has been a member of the Royal
Australian Institute of Architects for over 10 years and as a builder was a member
of the Housing Industry Association and the Master Builders Association.
He will carry out your inspection, present your summary and produce the illustrated
typewritten report.

As an architect, David appreciates how buyers sometimes struggle to balance 'heart
and mind' in the purchase decision and how a building inspection needs to provide
facts and advice to buyers who are usually not experts in building.
Some building faults need explanation in context. For example, cracking has different
significance depending on the age and type of construction and what may be tolerable
to local people may shock some buyers from outside Adelaide.
The inspection report may advise certain controls to minimise faults such as cracking,
if not eliminate them. Always, it aims to be useful to the buyer - much more than
pure technical analysis.
