Termite Inspections

Termites (commonly known as 'white ants') eat timber in buildings. Keeping them out can be very difficult. An interested buyer should learn how susceptible a building is to attack, if there is evidence of attack and what can be done to reduce damage. Our termite inspection goes a long way to answering these key questions and more.

Our inspections and reports are conducted according to the relevant Australian Standards for building and pest inspections. You get concise helpful information about protecting the property into the future and a typewritten report stating what was found during our visual inspection. Further termite information is included in the very useful appendix accompanying the report.

Our inspector has many years experience in the repair of Adelaide houses following termite attacks and has received specialist training approved by the SA Health Dept, the body which licenses pest controllers in this state.

We use conventional, tried and proven equipment and procedures to test the timber in a building for termite damage and to detect conditions which can invite an attack.

'Termite inspection' or 'pest inspection'?

In other states it is common to order a pest inspection because other pests pose greater risk than they do in SA (for example borers and dry rot in Victoria). In SA, termites are the insect pest responsible for nearly all damage to buildings so we target them specifically with this report.
